The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Kyuubi has invited Zhigang Wang to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that he has accepted.
Zhigang Wang works at Alibaba. He made his first contribution to Kyuubi in 2025 and has been contributing actively since 2026. He developed the brand-new Data Agent feature, and also made notable contributions including performance optimizations and the refactoring of the JDBC module.
Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project since there is no need to go via the patch submission process. This should enable better productivity. A PMC member helps manage and guide the direction of the project.
